Donna Petherbridge has demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship and service over the past two years and throughout her career, significantly advancing women in information technology and beyond the field. Her scholarship explores challenges women face, particularly in tech.  As a researcher and a collaborator, Petherbridge brings other women into scholarly conversations and amplifies their voices. Petherbridge co-founded and leads Women in Tech groups at NC State and across the UNC System, providing crucial networking and mentorship opportunities. Her influence extends nationally, as evidenced by her recent election to the EDUCAUSE board, where she champions inclusivity. As vice provost for DELTA, Petherbridge has fostered an organizational culture where women thrive. Her advocacy also resulted in the first paid parental leave policy for the UNC System. Her commitment to mentoring, from undergraduate students to senior leaders, and her dedication to service, including advising the NC State Clogging Club, underscores her passion for empowering women in all aspects of their lives. Petherbridge’s career reflects a consistent dedication to creating pathways for women, making a lasting impact on NC State and the broader IT community.
