Sisterhood Dinner
2025 Highlights
The 2025 Sisterhood Dinner was held on February 24, 2025. Please check out highlights below – and we hope to see you next year!
History of The Sisterhood Dinner
The Sisterhood Dinner commemorates the contributions and accomplishments of NC State women. It was originally called the Susan B. Anthony Dinner but was changed in 1999 to the Sisterhood Dinner to encompass all aspects of the achievements of women.
2025 Theme: The Ripple Effect
Just as a smooth stone cascades across the water, creating ripples in a pond, so too do small acts of change. At first seemingly isolated and inconsequential, these small actions build momentum and magnitude to carry inspiration and good works further. This year’s Sisterhood Dinner theme — The Ripple Effect — celebrated the many small acts we all can make to create a ripple effect for gender equity that lasts for generations to come.
Community Storytellers
In lieu of a single keynote address, we welcomed four community storytellers who shared personal vignettes embodying this year’s theme.
- Aneesah Johnson, Senior Lecturer, School of Social Work
- Dr. Sarah Rajala, Professor Emerita, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Rylee Teed, Junior, College of Design
- Dr. Maria Rodgers, Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences
